A Family Handmade Craft Collaboration
Well it had to happen! Sisters are doing it for themselves in this latest Craft Collaboration.
Introducing my sister Angela Brown formerly of Pier74 and our exciting Limited Edition Collection of leather Handmade Gifts for Home and Hound. Two Mancunian sisters bringing the North West and the North East together with this project as one of us lives and works in Manchester and the other lives and works in Newcastle.
Firstly a bit about Angie because you know all about me:
Pier74 was established in November 2015 and created lifestyle accessories out of leather and fabric waste from the upholstery industry with everything designed and handmade in the studio workshop in the Ouseburn Valley in Newcastle upon Tyne. The beautiful soft leather and high-quality British wool, cotton and linen fabrics, are reclaimed off cuts and remnants which were destined for landfill. Due to the nature of the sourcing of materials this means the product ranges were ever changing limited editions. The products are made on either ‘Bernie’ a 1970’s Bernina Record sewing machine which was given to me by my Gran or on ‘Brenda’ my newer High lead commercial machine and so named after a never seen Coronation Street character as I bought it in Salford! To try and keep my carbon footprint as small as my shoe size, all other materials, fixtures and fittings are sourced in the UK.

For the budding Artist or Stationery Addict we produced these chic pencil cases which could also be used to store make up brushes or crochet hooks, etc. Featuring the MisHelenEous laser cut full dog Border Terrier motif to the front side they come with a cute coordinating heart shape tag on the zip pull.
